Lyons Game Day Central: Swimming & Diving vs. Western Connecticut State

THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke, which competed at Trinity College on Friday night, returns to the MHC Natatorium on Saturday to battle Western Connecticut State. The Lyons are currently 5-1-0 all-time against the Colonials, including wins in each of the last three meets.

MHC Logo THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (1-1), which competes at Trinity on Friday evening, has gone 1-1 to open its dual meet season. The Lyons are coming off a narrow 146-138 loss to Division II Assumption on November 9th. The meet, which came down to the final relay of the day, saw first year sensation Cathleen Pruden shatter the school record in the 400-IM and also set an NCAA B Cut as well. Other outstanding efforts came from sophomore Maya Lazarovich and first year Maggie Webb, who notched three victories apiece.

Opponent Logo THE COLONIALS: Western Connecticut State (0-2), which competes against Post on Friday evening, has participated in two dual meets thus far this season. The Colonials have fallen against Eastern Connecticut State and St. Joseph (CT) thus far, but have seen a number of strong results, including the 200-medley relay team of first year Sara Basile, senior Danielle Leprine, sophomore Olivia Martin and junior Dana Molloy, which won against St. Joseph last weekend

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke is idle for the Thanksgiving break, but returns to the pool on December 1st, hosting the MHC Invitational at 10am. Western Connecticut State is also back in action on December 1st, competing in the Little East Conference Championship, hosted by UMass-Dartmouth at 11am.
