Bisson named NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke junior Emi Bisson was named NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, following her record-breaking performance in the Lyons' victory at Emerson on Saturday.

Bisson (Chester, Conn.) set two Mount Holyoke scoring records on Saturday with 13 assists and 15 points in the Lyons' 19-18 win at Emerson, the Lyons' first NEWMAC win since 2019. Bisson's 13 assists are three more than any other Division III player this season, and they tie as the fourth most in Division III history. She also had nine draw controls in the game.

Bisson also had four goals and one assist in the Lyons' game at Hood on Monday, and she added two assists in their game at Marymount University on Thursday, for a total of 22 points on the week.

This is Bisson's second time earning this award; she also won it on April 22, 2024.
