Golf Falls to Vassar College In Dual-Match Action

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Mount Holyoke College golf team opened its spring trip action on Wednesday, facing off against Vassar College at the Indian Hills Golf Course on. The Lyons were defeated by a 365-339 margin in dual-match action.

The Brewers were led by sophomore Andrea Han (La Crescenta, Calif./Crescenta Valley), who finished at the top of the charts with an overall score of 80 points. First year Margaret Liu (Shanghai, China/Montverde Academy) was close behind, placing second overall, tallying 81 points. Sophomore Qiwen Tan (Chengdu, China/Out-The-Door Academy) and first year Morgan Yi (Jericho, N.Y./Jericho) finished fourth and sixth with scores of 87 and 91, respectively. Rounding out the squad was senior Annie Hsu (Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill) with 100 points in ninth place to give the Brewers an overall score of 339.  

Sophomore Susan Lee (Irvine, Calif./University HS) was the frontrunner for the Lyons, boasting a score of 86 for third-place overall, while classmate Elizabeth Andrian (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) shot a 90, which put her in fifth overall. The Lyons next highest finisher was sophomore Stephanie Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central), who was seventh-place shooting a 93, followed by first year Caitlyn Richmond (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) in eighth with a score of 96 to give the Lyons a total score of 339.
