Golf Takes Fifth at NYU Invitational

Bloomfield, N.J. - The Mount Holyoke golf team remained in fifth place after the final round of the NYU Invitational on Sunday. Finishing at the top of the leaderboards for the Lyons was sophomore Susan Lee (Irvine, Calif./University HS), who rallied for a score of 83 after shooting an 84 on Saturday, good for a 20th place tie overall. The Lyons finished with an overall score of 696.

After Lee, Stephanie Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale) finished the day with a score of 86 for a 172 overall score, placing 26th, while sophomore Elizabeth Andrian  (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) was close behind in 32nd place with an overall score of 176. The Lyons next highest finisher was first year Caitlyn Richmond (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) rallied for a score of 87 after shooting a 94 on day one. Richmond finished 34th, while classmate Lahela Delaney (Honolulu, Hawaii/Roosevelt) finished 42nd with a score of 195 through two days.

Williams College and New York University tied for first place, both with overall scores of 628. Holly Davenport of Williams College remained as the overall highest finisher with a score of 152 after two days of action.

The Lyons have concluded its fall season and will resume in the spring at the Vasar Invitational on April 14th in Poughkeepsie, New York.
