Fish and Heierhoff Named Lyons of the Week

South Hadley, Mass. - November 16, 2021 - Mount Holyoke College's Georgia Fish (Baltimore, Md.) of the riding team and Hannah Heierhoff (Wiesbaden, Germany) of the swimming and diving team have been selected as the Mount Holyoke College Department of Athletics Lyons of the Week.

Fish is being recognized for her efforts at the most recent Mount Holyoke College Show, as the junior was named the Reserve High Point Rider of the Day and helped lead the Lyons to their fourth-consecutive High Point College Title to close out the Fall Semester. Fish, a junior International Relations major, won her section of Intermediate Fences as well as her section of Limit Flat. With her victories, Fish qualified for regionals in both sections.

Heierhoff is being recognized for her performance in a dual meet versus University of New England on Saturday, November 6. The first-year won a pair of events and helped lead the Lyons to a 151-106 victory over the Nor'easters. Heierhoff started the day with a second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:53.70, before winning the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:25.72. Heierhoff then claimed victory in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:06.04 before joining the 200 freestyle relay, which produced a meet-best time of 1:53.79.
