Fifth year head coach Kanae Haneishi guided the Mount Holyoke soccer team to an overall record of 5-11-0 in 2011.

Hannah Yee The Lyons were paced by first year Hannah Yee, who was selected to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team after her dynamic rookie season. Yee made an immediate impact with her outstanding all-around play. In addition to facilitating the team's offense from the midfield, she also knocked in a team-best six goals.

Yee exploded out of the gate, scoring her first collegiate goal in Mount Holyoke's 2-1 triumph over Colby-Sawyer College. Junior forward Kiana Lussier found the back of the net for what proved to be the game-winner midway through the second half.

One week later, junior midfielder Mallory Phaneuf collected a goal and an assist to lead the Lyons to a 3-1 victory over longtime rival Smith College.

After four consecutive losses, Mount Holyoke bounced back with a thrilling 3-2 win over the Coast Guard Academy. Yee was nearly unstoppable in the contest, scoring twice off headers in the first half. Senior forward Mary Cooke delivered the winner midway through double overtime.

The Lyons closed out the season with two wins in their final four matches. Yee racked up two goals and an assist in their 5-1 triumph over Elms College. Meanwhile, Lussier scored twice in a 3-0 victory over the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

Cooke finished the year with 13 points on four goals and five assists. Mount Holyoke also received a boost from Lussier, who dished out a pair of assists to go with three goals. First year forward Amber Legare found the back of the net three times, while Phaneuf collected five assists.

First year Mackenzie Randall, junior Emily Shank and first year Taylor Bradley all saw time between the pipes for the Lyons. The trio combined for 127 saves and a goals against average of 2.35.
