THE MATCHUP: Emily Shank Mount Holyoke welcomes the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon (4:30 p.m.) at the Soccer Field. In 15 previous meetings between the programs, the Lyons own a 9-5 advantage. The two teams have finished in a deadlock on one occasion. MHC Logo THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (4-10-0, 2-6-0 NEWMAC) has been paced by Hannah Yee, who has made an immediate impact on the program with her outstanding all-around play. In addition to facilitating the team's offense from the midfielder, she has also knocked in a team-best six goals. Fellow midfielder Mary Cooke has recorded three goals and four assists, while converted forward Amber Legare has scored in three consecutive matches. The Lyons have also received a boost from midfielder Mallory Phaneuf, who leads the squad with five helpers. Forwards Kiana Lussier and Margaret Hanmer have netted two goals apiece. Emily Shank, Mackenzie Randall and Taylor Bradley have all seen time between the pipes for Mount Holyoke. They have combined or 117 saves and a goals against average of 2.43.    

Opponent Logo THE TRAILBLAZERS: MCLA (6-8-1, 2-3-1 MASCAC) has gone 6-3-1 over the last month after dropping its first five matches of the season. Midfielder Brianna Bresett has found the back of the net three times to lead the way for the Trailblazers. Defender Lauren Ford has accumulated five points on a goal and three assists, while Brianna Dandurant, Lindsay Roy and Janelle Stannard have scored two times apiece. MCLA has also received solid production from defender Christina Klich, who has totaled a goal and two assists. Jen Wehner has been the Trailblazers' featured goalkeeper. In 1,267 minutes played, she has registered a goals against average of 1.42 and a save percentage of .890. The veteran has collected four shutouts. 

NEXT UP: Both squads will round out their 2011 schedules at home against conference opponents on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Mount Holyoke will host nationally ranked Springfield College, while MCLA will entertain Bridgewater State University.
