Robinson Named to NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team

BOSTON, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Soccer All-Conference Teams have been announced and Mount Holyoke College saw student-athlete Cassidy Robinson recognized. The senior forward was named to the Second Team, garnering the first year-end honor of her career. Additionally, the Lyons were selected as this year's recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.

A native of Lebanon, N.H., Robinson led the Lyons in scoring during the 2014 season, notching 10 goals and four assists for 24 points as a starter in all 18 contests. She added 46 shots, including 36 on goal, while recording a team-best three game-winning goals.

Among her top performances this season was in a 4-2 win over Southern Vermont, where she scored two goals, including the game-winner, and also notched two assists. Robinson also recorded the game-winning goal in MHC's 2-1 win over Wellesley – a victory that was the first for the Lyons over the Blue since the 2004 season.

Robinson was among the NEWMAC leaders in a number of categories this season, including in goals, where she ranked second in the conference. She was also seventh in points, 10th in assists and fifth in game-winning goals.

The former Lebanon High School standout started 15 games during her junior season, recording four goals for eight points. She added 24 shots, including 15 on goal. As a sophomore, Robinson started four games and she appeared in three games during her rookie campaign. During that season, she scored a goal and was also the team's Rookie of the Year.

Mount Holyoke finished its season with a 6-12 overall record, going 2-8 in the NEWMAC which included wins over Clark and Wellesley.
