Babson Park, Mass. - Four players posted double-figures off the bench to lead Babson College past Mount Holyoke College in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon. With the 99-28 victory, the Beavers move to 16-2 and are 10-1 in conference play. The Lyons are now 1-18 and 0-10 in the NEWMAC.

The home team was paced by 12 points from starter Payton Ouimette and reserve Bianca Tomassini. Ouimette added four boards, while Tomassini posted a game-best five steals. Shaye Galletta came off the bench to score 11 points with eight caroms, while Nicole Hiller and Caroline Owens each subbed in for 10 points. Isabel Aguilar led all players with 14 rebounds.

For Mount Holyoke, junior captain Katlyn Grover had 11 points with two rebounds. Sophomore forward Annika Brooks added six points and a team-high 12 boards, while senior forward Leah Hodges chipped in with seven points.

Babson's defense was on full display in the opening quarter, limiting the Lyons to just four points while scoring 25 of their own behind six points from Ouimette. In the second quarter, the Beavers bench came out firing, as Hiller and Tomassini each had six points to take a 46-11 advantage into halftime.

Third quarter action saw Ouimette score six before giving way to the bench as Galletta scored eight. The home team defense stymied the Lyons offense, holding them to just seven points - four of which came from Brooks in the paint.

Babson once again saw its bench fire up in the final stanza, aided by eight from Owens and seven from Alexis Doherty.  Hodges scored five of her seven points in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to edge back in.

Mount Holyoke returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Clark in NEWMAC action at 7pm at the Howard Gym. Babson is back on the court on Monday, hosting Williams in non-conference action at 6pm.
