Field Hockey Earns National Academic Honors

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (March 26, 2012) – The Mount Holyoke College field hockey team was recently recognized by the NFHCA for achieving a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester. In addition, 13 individual members of the team were named to the 2011 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

Individual recipients were Victoria Beja-Glasser, Chrissy BoylesKiki Boyles, Caitlyn Brooks, Annie Butts, Taylor Hedges, Christine Ianni, Laura Murphy, Kayla Parker, Emma Ross, Aurora Rougeau, Stephanie Slysz and Kirsti Wiemokly.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes were required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2011 academic year. Boyles and Butts were honored in all four of their seasons in a Mount Holyoke uniform.
