PHILADELPHIA -- Three first-year student-athletes from the Mount Holyoke College squash team had the opportunity to compete Friday in the CSA National Collegiate Individual Championships, hosted by the College Squash Association at the U.S. Squash Center.

Abouelatta, the No. 1 player in Mount Holyoke's lineup this season, was matched up against the top seed in the Holleran West draw, Drexel University's Margot Prow, in the first round on Friday afternoon, and the Lyons rooie fell 11-1, 11-2, 11-1. Moving on to the First Consolation draw Friday evening, Abouelatta met eighth-seeded Natasha Pensler of Penn and fell 11-5, 11-8, 11-2. Abouelatta amassed a 10-8 record at No. 1 for the Lyons in a stellar first season.

Mei and Paw fell to the Williams College team of Isabel Kelly and Nikita Srivastava in three games (11-5, 11-5, 11-3) on Friday evening, eliminating them from the Doubles Championship draw. Paw played No. 3 for the Lyons and went 7-15 individually this season, while Mei was 8-14 at the No. 4 spot.
