Bloomfield, N.J. - October 14, 2019 - The Mount Holyoke College golf team completed their fall season on Sunday afternoon, as the Lyons took fifth overall in the NYU Invitational, hosted at the Forest Hill Field Club.
The Lyons used 346 strokes in the First Round on Saturday and the 344 strokes in the Final Round on Sunday en route to a finish with 690 strokes.
Leading the Lyons was Cortney Qiu (Winter Springs, Fla.), who shot an 86 on Saturday and followed it up with an 81 on Sunday to finish with a total of 167, putting her in a tie for 14th overall in the field. Susan Lee (Irvine, Calif.) was next for Mount Holyoke College with a total of 170 strokes. Lee fired an 85 on Saturday and matched her score on Sunday.
Senior Stephanie Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.) was next on the Lyons as she produced a team-best 84 in the First Round on Saturday, but followed up with an 88 on Sunday to arrive at 172 strokes. Rounding out the top five for Mount Holyoke College was Elizabeth Andrian (Glastonbury, Conn.), who posted a 181, while Lahela Delaney (Honolulu, Hawaii) notched a 205.
