Golf Sits in 10th After First Round Action at Williams College Invitational

Williamstown, Mass. - October 5, 2019 - The Mount Holyoke College golf team currently sits in 10th place overall after First Round action at the Williams College Invitational, a two-day tournament hosted at the iconic Taconic Golf Club, regarded as the top public golf course in New England.

The Lyons' top four golfers used 358 strokes on the afternoon, as Mount Holyoke College was led by Cortney Qiu (Winter Springs, Fla.), who shot an 88. Qiu was followed by Stephanie Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.), who shot an 89. Rounding out the top five for the Lyons was Lahela Delaney (Honolulu, Hawaii), who carded a 90, Susan Lee (Irvine, Calif.), who shot a 91 and Elizabeth Andrian (Glastonbury, Conn.), who produced a 92. 

The Final Round of the Williams College Invitational will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 6.
