Williamstown, Mass. - October 6, 2019 - Wrapping up the Williams College Invitational with Final Round action on Sunday morning, the Mount Holyoke College golf team improved upon their team scoring from the First Round en route to a 10th-place finish in a two-day tournament hosted at the Taconic Golf Club, regarded as one of the top public golf courses in New England.

The Lyons used 358 strokes in the First Round and remained in 10th following a Sunday in which they combined for 342. Leading the group was Cortney Qiu (Winter Springs, Fla.), who shot an 84 to combine with her 88 in the First Round to finish 35th overall in the field. Next was Susan Lee (Irvine, Calif.), who jumped up 14 spots with an 84 as well to finish in a tie for 40th.

Rounding out the top three for Mount Holyoke College was Stephanie Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.), who remained consistent and shot an 87 to go with her 89 from Saturday. Next was Elizabeth Andrian (Glastonbury, Conn.), who carded an 87 on Sunday, making a five-shot improvement from Saturday. Lastly was Lahela Delaney (Honolulu, Hawaii), who shot a 93 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 57th.

Up next, Mount Holyoke College will wrap up the fall when they travel to the NYU Invitational, hosted at Forest Hill Field Club on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13.
