Longtime head coach Aldo Santiago guided the Mount Holyoke tennis team to an overall record of 9-11 in 2011-12.

Heather Richardson After picking up victories over St. Joseph College, Smith College and Clark University, the Lyons edged Springfield College 5-4 to clinch a spot in the NEWMAC Tournament for the eighth straight season.

They faced off against Wheaton College in the Quarterfinal Round, falling 5-1.

Mount Holyoke wrapped up its season with nine matches in the spring.

Following their wins over Connecticut College and the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez, the Lyons hosted the annual Seven Sisters Championship in mid-April. For the third year in a row, they secured third place at the event with convincing victories over Bryn Mawr College and Smith. Junior Nahrhee Han and sophomore Maya Sayarath were named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the weekend.

Mount Holyoke closed things out with a win over Roger Williams University.

Over the course of the season, Han and sophomore AnnElizabeth Konkel combined for a 9-6 record at number one doubles.

The Lyons also received solid production from sophomore Kelsey Brower and senior Heather Richardson, who racked up 10 doubles victories.

In singles play, Konkel recorded nine wins, while Sayarath and classmate Eman Malik came out on top eight times apiece.
