THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez to South Hadley for a non-conference contest this afternoon (4:30 p.m.) at the Tennis Courts. The Lyons have come out on top in four of the previous seven meetings between the programs. They picked up a thrilling 5-4 triumph over the Bulldogs during their spring break trip in 2010. This is the first time that the two teams will face off in America.

MHC Logo THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (5-8, 3-4 NEWMAC) rolled to a 7-2 victory over Connecticut College in its most recent outing on Saturday. Nahrhee Han and AnnElizabeth Konkel prevailed at both singles and doubles to set the tone for the Lyons. Konkel has been Mount Holyoke's most consistent player this season. In addition to posting a 7-5 singles record, she has also teamed up with Han to produce a 6-6 mark at number one doubles. The Lyons have also received a boost from Kelsey Brower and Heather Richardson, who have gone 7-5 as a doubles pairing. In singles play, Maya Sayarath has collected five wins, and Sarah Moore has added four. Mount Holyoke qualified for the NEWMAC Tournament for the eight straight season in the fall.

Opponent Logo NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will return to action on Saturday, when it visits RPI for a non-conference match beginning at noon. Meanwhile, Puerto Rico Mayaguez will continue its tour of Massachusetts at Nichols College tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will then take part in the Nor'Easter Bowl at Wellesley College from Friday through Sunday.
