With longtime head coach Tina Lee at the helm, the Mount Holyoke indoor track and field team competed in seven events during the 2011-12 season.

Jacinta Edebeli Leading the way for the Lyons were Jacinta Edebeli, Miriam Larson-Koester and Naomi Miller, who each qualified for the New England Division III Championships.

Edebeli opened the weekend with an outstanding showing in the pentathlon. Her top performance came in the shot put, where she secured first place with a toss of 12.10 meters. In the process, she broke her own program record and put herself in 14th place overall with 2,667 points.

Edebeli was once again impressive in the shot put the following day, taking eighth place with a distance of 12.00 meters. By doing so, she earned All-Region honors and put Mount Holyoke in 22nd place overall with one point. She also qualified for the 60-meter dash but did not compete.

Larson-Koester grabbed ninth place in the shot put (11.54 meters), and Miller finished 15th in the 800-meter run (2:27.24).

Two weeks later, Larson-Koester represented the Lyons in the shot put at the ECAC Division III Championships and took 17th place (11.18 meters). Edebeli also qualified but did not compete.

Mount Holyoke secured fifth place at the University of Southern Maine Invitational and third place at the Smith College Beynon Classic.
