Three Lyons rowers receive CSC Academic All-District At-Large honors

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Three members of the Mount Holyoke College rowing team were among five Lyons student-athletes to receive 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District At-Large honors, announced Wednesday by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).

The recently graduated Jocelyn Greer '23 (Athens, N.Y.) and Piper LaPointe '23 (Mansfield, Mass.), as well as Emma Waldron '24 (Pittsburgh, Pa.), received the dual athletic and academic honor on Wednesday along with field hockey player Phoebe Aaronson '23 and lacrosse player Hannah Bisson '24.

Greer, who has also received Mount Holyoke Senior Athlete of the Year, NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference, and NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship honors in recent weeks, graduated Sunday with a major in psychology and a cumulative grade point average of 3.89 maintained through the fall 2022 semester.

LaPointe served as team captain and rowed on Mount Holyoke's first varsity eight. The mathematics and gender studies double-major maintained a 3.72 grade point average through the fall semester.

Waldron, also a Second Team All-NEWMAC selection along with Greer and a team captain with LaPointe, double-majors in biology and environmental studies, maintaining a 4.0 GPA through the fall semester.
