MHC Logo THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (7-11, 3-4 NEWMAC) has split four matches thus far this spring. For the second year in a row, the Lyons grabbed third place at the annual Seven Sisters Championship last weekend. They finished with a record of 2-2 after shutout victories over Smith College and Bryn Mawr College. Mount Holyoke has also defeated American International College (9-0) and RPI (8-1) this spring. First year Maya Sayarath has racked up 13 singles wins to lead the way for the Lyons. In the fall, she was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team for her work at number three doubles. She teamed up with senior Elise Marifian to post a 5-1 mark in league play. Over the course of the season, Marifian has accumulated six singles wins, while junior Sarah Moore has added five. Since joining the team this spring, first year Eman Malik has collected three victories.

NEXT UP: Union is slated to visit Smith College at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. The match between Mount Holyoke and Roger Williams will be the last for both squads.
