The Mount Holyoke golf team had a strong season in 2015-16, finishing ninth or better in all eight events, including third overall at the Liberty League Championships. Under the direction of fifth-year head coach Tim Walko, the Lyons saw two players garner All-League honors, while five garnered All-Academic recognition.

Kicking off the 2015-16 season was the NYU Invitational, which saw junior captain June Conti finish 19th overall. As a team, the Lyons were seventh of 12 teams. The team continued to improve the following weekend, placing fifth of 14 squads at their own MHC Invitational at The Orchards.

The Lyons were once again paced by Conti, who was fifth overall with a season-low combined score of 156. Junior captain Allison Shilling and classmate Heeamin Lee were both tied for 10th with a combined 160.

The start of October brought a solid effort from the Lyons, as they placed seventh at the Middlebury Invitational. At the Williams Fall Invitational the next weekend, Conti paced MHC to eighth overall, finishing 11th at the event with a score of 163.

Mount Holyoke wrapped up October and the fall season at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational, hosted at Wellesley. The squad finished fifth overall at the event, which saw Conti place 17th, followed by an 18th place finish from Shilling.

A relatively quiet winter meant an easy transition back to golf as Mount Holyoke opened the spring slate in April at the Vassar Invitational. The Lyons finished ninth overall, led by a 16th place finish from Conti. The next weekend, MHC returned to the links at the Jack Leaman Invitational where it placed eighth overall. Conti once again paced the effort, finishing tied for third, while Shilling was 16th.

The 2015-16 season culminated at the 2016 Liberty League Championships as the team looked to reclaim the title after finishing runner-up to NYU last season. The event, which was hosted at The Orchards Golf Club, saw the Lyons facing a tough hurdle after day one, sitting behind the leading Violets and St. Lawrence University. Despite several outstanding performances in on the final day of action, Mount Holyoke was unable to make up the difference, finishing third overall behind NYU and the Saints.

Conti finished third overall, while Shilling was fourth at the league championship, both earning All-Liberty League First Team honors. It marked the third straight First Team honor for Conti and the first for Shilling, who had previously been a two-time Second Team honoree. Lee was 21st overall, followed by junior Vladislava Paskova (29th) and senior Katie Poulin (33rd).

Additionally, Conti and Shilling joined Lee, Paskova and junior Amanda Lee on the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
