WELLESLEY, Mass. – Day one of action at the 2015 Ann S. Batchelder Invitational has concluded and after the opening round, the Mount Holyoke College golf team sits fifth overall. The Lyons complied a score of 342 on day one, led by a 12th-place effort from junior captain June Conti.

Conti (Amenia, N.Y./Miss Porter's School) shot an 81 on day one to sit in a four-way tie for 12th. Junior captain Allison Shilling (New Canaan, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) sits three strokes back in 21st with an 84 in the opening round, while classmate Heeamin Lee (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Brookline) is tied for 25th with a score of 87.

Junior Amanda Lee (Windsor, Conn./Ethel Walker School) heads into Sunday's Final Round in 34th after shooting a 90 on day one, while classmate Vladislava Paskova (Sofia, Bulgaria/American College of Sofia) sits in a tie for 40th with a score of 101.

Individually, senior Katie Poulin (Scarborough, Maine/Catherine McAuley) is 43rd overall with a score of 104.

Williams currently leads the field with a first day score of 309. New York University is second with a 316, followed by Middlebury (319), Amherst (333) and the Lyons (342).

Action at this year's event, which is the fall finale for the Lyons, concludes on Sunday.
