Golf Finishes 8th at Williams Fall Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Mount Holyoke College golf team wrapped-up play at the 2015 Williams College Fall Classic, hosted at Taconic Golf Club. The Lyons finished eighth of 15 teams at this year's event with a combined score of 705. The host Ephs won the tournament with a score of 617.

Junior captain June Conti was the top overall finisher for the Lyons, placing 11th overall with a combined 163. She shot an 80 on day one and an 83 in the final round. Classmate and fellow captain Allison Shilling finished in a tie for 28th on the weekend, shooting a total of 172 with an 86 on each day.

Finishing third on the team and 54th overall was junior Heeamin Lee, who shot a combined 185. She had a 92 on day one and a final round of 93. Junior Amanda Lee finished 57th overall with a combined 186, posting a 92 in round one and a 94 on day two.

Rounding out the team efforts was junior Vladislava Paskova, who was 70th on the weekend with a score of 197. After shooting a 104 in the opening round, she rebounded with a 93 on day two.

Individually, senior Katie Poulin was 77th overall with a score of 208 (106-108).

Mount Holyoke is back in action next weekend when it competes at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational, hosted by Wellesley College. Action begins on Saturday and runs through Sunday.
