Golf Concludes Day 1 of Action at Vassar Invitational

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Day one of action at the Vassar Invitational is in the books and after the opening round, the Mount Holyoke College golf team sits 11th overall with a combined score of 378. The Lyons were led through the first 18 holes by junior Heeamin Lee, who sits in a tie for 24th overall.

Lee opened action with a score of 87. She was followed by junior captain June Conti, who is tied for 30th overall, just a stroke back with a score of 88. Classmate and fellow captain Allison Shilling sits 54th after the openign round with a score of 99, while junior Vladislova Paskova is 56th with a score of 104. Rounding out day one was senior Katie Poulin, who is 58th following the opening day with a mark of 106.

The opening round saw Williams College and Amherst College tie for the lead, each team shooting a combined 322. SUNY Cortland sits seven strokes behind with a mark of 329, followed by Middlebury (335) and St. Lawrence University (347) to round out the top five.

Action at the Vassar Invite will continue on Sunday at 9am.
