Lyons Cross Country Concludes Season At The NCAA New England Regionals

WESTFIELD, MASS. - The Mount Holyoke cross country team concluded its season at the NCAA New England Regionals hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday. The Lyons raced to a 39th place finish in the 6k run. Overall, there were 59 teams and 416 runners competing at the Championship meet.

Leading the Lyons was junior Mia Barnes (Thornville, Ohio/Monteverde Friends School) who posted a time of 24:38.85 good for 194th. Sophomore Corrin Moss (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus Alternative HS) was close behind, crossing the line in 24:55.97 which was 218th overall.

First year Michelle Serrano (Los Angeles, Calif./West Adams Preparatory) was 253rd with a time of 25:46.66, while classmate Emma Raney (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) came across with a time of 26:02.91, good for 281st.

First year Brigit Wolf (New Providence, N.J./Union County Magnet HS) was 286th with a time of 26:07.87, while classmate Alicia Moroyoqui (Groton, Conn./Robert E. Fitch) finished 295th with a time of 26:20.64. First year Kayla Dillon (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain Regional) rounded out the efforts, finished right behind in a time of 26:24.92.

Finishing first overall was MIT, followed by Williams in second, Tufts in third, Middlebury in fourth, and Bated in fifth. Tufts junior Brittany Bowman won the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country New England Regional Championship in a course-record time of 21:12.29.
