Six soccer Lyons named CSC Academic All-District

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College soccer team landed the maximum total of six players on the CSC Academic All-District Division III Women's Soccer Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators (formerly known as CoSIDA).

Junior Grace Baines (Toronto, Ontario), sophomore captain Anna Kennedy (Glendale, Wis.), junior Hannah Keochakian (Amherst, Mass.), junior Avery Livingston (La Grange, Ill.), sophomore Charlotte Moynihan (North Attleborough, Mass.), and sophomore Ada Siepmann (Vlotho, Germany) were all named to the team.

The 2023 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution.

Baines played in 16 games, making nine starts, and carries a double major in history and politics.

Kennedy started and played in 13 games, scoring two goals with three assists from center midfield.

Keochakian, a psychology major, started and played in 16 games, scoring two goals and adding two assists.

Livingston started in all 17 of the Lyons' games this season, tallying two assists along the way.

Moynihan played in 15 games and started in 14. The international relations major ranked second on the team with three goals.

Siepmann, a chemistry major, played in all 17 games and made 16 starts, and led the Lyons in goals (4) and points (9).

The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 19 (men) and December 20 (women).
