Riding Finishes 11th at IHSA National Championships

Harrisburg, Pa. - May 7, 2022 - The Mount Holyoke College riding team finished competition at the IHSA National Championships, hosted at the Pennsyvlania Farm Show Complex over the weekend. The Lyons placed 11th overall out of the 16 teams in competition.

Standout senior Sara Hearn (Tallahassee, Fla.) was the lone competitor on the day for Mount Holyoke and competed in the Collegiate Cup Open Equitation Over Fences and Collegiate Cup Open Equitation on the Flat. Additionally, because Hearn collected a Zone I Cacchione Cup Championship, she was able to compete in the USEF/Cacchione Cup at Nationals, and finished 16th overall out of 24 riders.
