Harrisburg, Pa. - May 6, 2022 - The Mount Holyoke College riding team continued their showing at the IHSA National Championships on Saturday, as the Lyons are currently sitting in eighth overall out of 16 teams competing at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

Opening the day for Mount Holyoke, Sierra Dunn (Florence, Mass.) delivered a great performance in the Collegiate Cup Intermediate Equitation Over Fences, where the senior took seventh overall and earned three points for the Lyons.

Next was Sara Hearn (Tallahassee, Fla.) in the Over Fences portion of the USEF/Cacchione Cup and the senior put forth an impressive ride, followed up with another great ride in the Flat portion of the USEF/Cacchione Cup and waits for positioning on Saturday.

Next was Xike Zhao (Shenyang, China) in the Individual Introductory Equitation on the Flat where the junior finished eighth overall followed by Astrid Zhao (Beijing, China), who competed in the Collegiate Cup Introductory Equitation on the Flat and posted a 10th-place finish to earn points for the Lyons. 

Wrapping up the day was Sunita Pearson-Siegel (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who competed in the Collegiate Cup Novice Equitation on the Flat and received a participation medal for the ride.

The Lyons will wrap up action on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.
