SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Mar. 30, 2013) - The Mount Holyoke crew team took to the water on Saturday, hosting Bryant College in a race on the Connecticut River. The Lyons had four boats in action at the event and also saw a novice four compete at Amherst. Overall, MHC's top varsity eight boat won with a time of 7:50.2.

Also having a solid showing was the second varsity eight 'B' boat, which placed second overall with a time of 8:57.27. Bryant finished third in the varsity eight race with a time of 8:58.84. In the novice eight boat, Bryant took the top spot with a time of 9:35.6, while the Lyons boat came in second with a mark of 10:08.8.

The varsity four boat recorded a time of 9:59.6 in its race to claim victory. In the race at Amherst, Mount Holyoke's novice four boat finished second behind Amherst's 'A' boat, posting a time of 7:59.

Mount Holyoke now turns its sights toward next weekend when it competes against Tufts, Hamilton and Tulane in Medford, Mass.
