WORCESTER, Mass. (Oct. 13, 2012) - The Mount Holyoke crew team took to the water on Saturday, competing at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta, hosted by WPI on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. The Lyons had six boats in action at the event, led by the first varsity eight boat, which was 10th overall.
The top varsity eight boat posted a time of 16:24.398, while MHC's novice eight boat came in with a time of 18:04.081 - good for 27th overall. The Lyons varsity eight 'B' boat was just behind with a mark of 18:06.833.
Also having an outstanding effort was the varsity four 'A' boat, which posted a time of 18:49.584 to finish fifth overall in its race. That boat outpaced Smith, while the varsity four 'B' boat came in 12th with a time of 19:25.091.
Mount Holyoke now turns its sights toward next weekend as it prepares to compete in the storied Head of the Charles Regatta. For more information, click HERE.
