THE MATCHUP: The Lyons are back on home turf following a 6-2 victory at #19 MIT on Saturday. MHC welcomes the Owls from Westfield State - a match which is just the fifth all-time between the two squads, who first met in 1974 - a 5-0 Lyons win. Mount Holyoke holds the series lead at 3-1, which includes victories in each of the last two seasons, including 2011 (6-0) and 2012 (3-0).  

MHC Logo THE MOUNT HOLYOKE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (14-1, 6-1 NEWMAC) is coming off a 6-2 victory at MIT on Saturday, which saw junior forward Diana Banmann record a hat trick and first year forward Charlotte Wagner add a goal and three assists. First year goalie Liz DiCesare made eight saves to improve to 14-1 overall and own the most wins in the NEWMAC.

AMONG THE NATION'S BEST: Mount Holyoke is fourth in save percentage (.852) and fifth in scoring margin (3.42), while also ranking eighth in Division III in goals per game (4.47) and points per game (11.80). Individually, Banmann leads the nation in goals per game (1.80) and is fourth in points per contest (3.80), while junior captain Kirsten Kilburn ranks third in the nation and is the conference leader in assists per game (1.07).

Opponent Logo THE WESTFIELD STATE OWLS: Westfield State (6-9, 3-7 MASCAC) enters Tuesday evening's contest following a 2-0 loss on the road at Salem State last Saturday. Owls goaltender Megan Fountaine made six saves in the defeat. Leading the Owls is first year forward Holly Brouillette, who has 12 goals and four assists for 28 points. Junior forward Kelly Kenney (6g, 3a) and senior forward Sarah Pliszka (4g, 6a) round out the top three with 15 and 14 points, respectively. In goal, Fountaine (5-7) ahs a 2.32 GAA and a .775 save percentage.


NEXT UP: The Lyons return to action on Saturday when they close out their regular season schedule against Wheaton here at home at 12pm. Westfield State returns to action on Friday when it hosts Western Connecticut State at 7pm.
