SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College placed the maximum six student-athletes on the 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, announced by College Sports Communicators, including two each from the Lyons field hockey, lacrosse and rowing teams.
Earning Academic All-District honors from Mount Holyoke were lacrosse junior Emi Bisson (Chester, Conn.), rowing senior Lilla Carroll (Birmingham, Ala.), field hockey senior Sophia Guziewicz (Claremont, N.H.), rowing junior Katrina Holbrook (St. Paul, Minn.), field hockey senior Rachel Katzenberg (Reisterstown, Md.), and lacrosse senior Ella Phillips (Sandwich, Mass.. It is the second year in a row for both Carroll and Katzenberg in winning the honor.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Bisson led Mount Holyoke in points (60) and assists (27) for the third year in a row, while constantly commanding outsized attention from opposing defenses. Her two-goal, 13-assist performance in Mount Holyoke's win at Emerson tied as the fourth-most assists in Division III history. The psychology major maintains a 3.71 cumulative grade point average.
Carroll received Second Team All-NEWMAC honors for the second straight year in 2025 after rowing on Mount Holyoke's first varsity eight. The physics major graduated with a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
A four-year starting midfielder for Mount Holyoke field hockey, Guziewicz exploded for 13 goals in her senior campaign, the most by a Lyon since 2013 and the sixth-most in the NEWMAC. The politics and gender studies double-major graduated in May with a 3.82 cumulative GPA.
Holbrook joined Carroll as a Second Team All-NEWMAC rower in her second season as a Lyons rower. A double-major in data science and biological sciences, the academic junior maintains a 4.00 cumulative GPA.
Katzenberg, Mount Holyoke field hockey's starting goalkeeper for all four years, completed her third season as Mount Holyoke's starting goalkeeper, posting career-best numbers in goals-against average (2.51; 6th in the NEWMAC) and wins (8). The psychology and education major graduated with a 3.93 cumulative GPA.
Phillips, a physics major, graduated in May with a 3.81 GPA and played a major and versatile role on the lacrosse team throughout her four years. Phillips totaled 37 goals and 22 assists in 57 career games.
