Coklow Finishes 2nd at ECAC's; Bests Own Record Set on Thursday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 16, 2013) - First year sprinter Camille Coklow concluded action at the 2013 ECAC Outdoor Championships on Friday at Springfield College, finishing second overall in the 100-meter dash finals. Additionally, she once again eclipsed her own mark in the event, which she had further reset on Thursday. Overall, Coklow's performance saw the Lyons finish 32nd overall of 57 competing teams.

Coklow posted a time of 11.93 in the event finals, besting her time from Thursday's preliminaries of 12.03. This is the fourth straight run in which she has eclipsed the school record, having done so at last week's Open New England Championships with a time of 12.27.

Her previous school record mark came during the NEWMAC Championships, where she earned All-Conference Second Team honors with a second-place finish time of 12.20.

Coklow's time at today's ECAC Meet puts her in solid standing to earn a spot at this year's NCAA National Championships. With her mark of 11.93, she's likely to move into the top-10 runners into Division III.
