Track & Field Competes at Minuteman Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. (Apr. 13, 2013) - Led by several top 10 performances, the Mount Holyoke College track & field team finished 18th overall at the multi-divisional 2013 Minuteman Invitational, hosted by UMass-Amherst. The Lyons had three players record finishes in the top-10, including first year Camille Coklow, who had two of them.

Coklow was fourth overall in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 12.57. She then placed ninth overall in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 25.93. Also performing well on the day was senior Bree Ligon-Hollinger, who was 10th in the high jump with a mark of 1.46 meters. First year Molly Sagar also competed in the high jump, placing 15th with a jump of 1.46 meters.

Rounding out the solid performances was senior captain Maddie Ballon, who was 18th in the pole vault event with a height of 2.50 meters.

The Lyons return to action next weekend when they compete at the Aloha Relays, hosted by Bowdoin College. The meet begins on Friday and runs through Saturday.
