Coklow Continues to Impress in 100m-Dash; Eclipses own school record

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 16, 2013) - First year sprinter Camille Coklow open action at the 2013 ECAC Outdoor Championships in fine fashion on Thursday, re-setting her own school record in the 100-meter dash preliminaries. This year's meet is being held at Springfield College.

Coklow posted a time of 12.03 in her event to finish seventh overall and qualify for Friday's event finals. Her blistering time eclipses her mark from last week at the Open New England Championships of 12.27.

Her previous school record mark came during the NEWMAC Championships, where she earned All-Conference Second Team honors with a second-place finish time of 12.20. Coklow's time at today's ECAC Meet puts her in solid standing to earn a spot at this year's NCAA National Championships.

Coklow will run in the event finals of the 100-meter dash on Friday at 1:55pm. Additionally, Coklow could compete in the 200-meter dash. That event will run at 3:10pm.
