Track & Field Wraps-Up Action at New England DIII Championships

WATERVILLE, Maine (May 4, 2013) - First year Camille Coklow won the 100-meter dash to lead the Mount Holyoke College track & field team at the 2013 New England Division III Championships, hosted by Colby College. As a team, the Lyons finished 21st overall. NEWMAC-rival MIT won this year's title.

Coklow posted a time of 12.47 to win the 100-m dash event, rallying from an rough start in the prelims where she qualified but placed seventh overall. Coklow went on to help the 4x100 relay team finish 15th overall with a mark of 51.33.

Other members of the relay team included senior captain Maddie Ballon, senior Bree Ligon-Hollinger and sophomore Amber Legare.

Ligon-Hollinger recorded the Lyons other solid finish of the meet, placing 15th overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.48 meters.

Select members of the Mount Holyoke squad return to action on Friday and Saturday when they compete at the 2013 Open New England Championships, hosted by Stonehill.
