SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Apr. 19, 2011) - Sophomore track and field team member Angelica Pascual has earned the Lyon of the Week award for the week of April 11-17 after her impressive performance at the Eastern Connecticut State University Invitational on Friday.
Pascual took home top honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.89. Her outstanding day also included a second place finish in the 100-meter dash (13.35) and a fourth place result in the long jump (4.47 meters). The sophomore teamed up with Whitney Bailey, Kathleen O'Connor and Bianca Routt to collect second place in the 4x100-meter relay (54.14).
Mount Holyoke will return to action this weekend at the Bowdoin College Aloha Relays. The event is slated to begin on Friday and conclude on Saturday.
