LOWELL, Mass. (Apr. 9, 2011) – The Mount Holyoke College women's outdoor track and field team competed in the annual George Davis Invitational today at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. A total of 23 teams from around the region participated in the non-scoring competition, which took place at the Cushing Field Complex.

Angelica Pascual highlighted the day for the Lyons with her ninth place finish in the 100-meter dash. The sophomore crossed the line in 13.71.

Juniors Hannah DiCocco and Emily Follo each established new personal bests in the 5,000-meter run. DiCocco took eighth place with her time of 20:22.54, while Follo posted a time of 20:22.70 to secure ninth place.

Jacinta Edebeli recorded top 15 finishes in a pair of field events. Her toss of 10.90 meters in the shot put was good for 15^th place. The senior also nabbed 13^th place in the javelin with her throw of 31.20 meters.

First year Bianca Routt chipped in with a 16^th place finish in the 400-meter dash. She completed the race in 1:03.04.

The Lyons are slated to compete in the Eastern Connecticut State University Invitational on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
