WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College senior Maddy Sewell won NEWMAC Diver of the Week honors for the second time this season and the fourth time in two years on Monday, as announced by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
Sewell (Scottsdale, Ariz.) had an outstanding performance on Saturday at the Vassar Sprint Invitational, where she scored a career-high 277.15 points on six dives on the 3-meter board, competing unopposed at the meet. The two-time All-NEWMAC standout also won 1-meter diving at the meet with 245.10 points.
Competing for the Lyons for only her second year, Sewell has also been named NEWMAC Diver of the Week on Nov. 13, 2023, Jan. 17, 2023, and Dec. 5, 2022.
