Maddy Sewell wins her third career NEWMAC Diver of the Week award

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Senior two-time All-NEWMAC diver Maddy Sewell was NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week for the week ending Nov. 12, 2023, after her outstanding performance at Saturday's home swimming and diving meet against Westfield State.

Sewell (Scottsdale, Ariz.) shined in her first competition of the season on Saturday, immediately qualifying for NCAA Regionals with outstanding scores in both 1-meter (266.00 points) and 3-meter (265.70) diving. Her event wins helped the Lyons outscore the visiting Owls handily, 152-79.

This is Sewell's third time being named NEWMAC Diver of the Week: last season she won the same award on Jan. 17, 2023, and on Dec. 5, 2022.
