The academic year has come to a close, but several Lyons teams are still in action as the rowing and track & field squads inch closer toward their final championships.
It's the final full week of action before classes conclude at MHC! The spring teams have seen some finish, while others continue to charge on toward playoffs.
The Lyon of the Week has been announced and Mount Holyoke College’s varsity riding team are the recipients of this week’s honor. MHC was one of two teams to qualify and advance to the 2016 IHSA National Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.

Senior captain Cathleen Pruden has been named the Lyon of the Week for the period ending March 20. The Raleigh, N.C., native concluded her collegiate career in fine fashion at last week's NCAA Division III Championships.
First year Ragini Ghose was named the Lyon of the Week for the period ending February 21, after helping the Lyons squash team to a 2-1 mark at the CSA Women's Team Championships - the final weekend of the season. Ghose was a key factor for the Lyons, going 3-0 during the stretch.

The Mount Holyoke College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is seeking nominations for consideration toward the next induction class in 2017. Former athletes, coaches, administrators, teams and advocates will be eligible. Nominations are due by May 31, 2016.
