CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke junior Jayonna Montigny scored two goals, and senior Laurissa Montigny and sophomore Anna Induni added a goal apiece as the Lyons won 4-0 at Elms College in a non-conference field hockey game Tuesday night.
Mount Holyoke (6-4) won 21 penalty corners in the game and outshot the host Blazers (0-9) by a 27-5 margin.
In the game's 13th minute, Jayonna Montigny (Enfield, Conn.) knocked the ball back in after an Elms defensive save made on Induni (Manchester, N.H.) on a penalty corner.
Induni scored her third goal of the year seven minutes later, with an assist from first-year Emily Bisson (Manchester, N.H.). Bisson's third assist of the season tied her with Induni for the team lead.
Laurissa Montigny (Enfield, Conn.) scored her team-high eighth goal of the season on another penalty corner with 18 seconds left in the half for a 3-0 Mount Holyoke lead, with an assist from first-year Linnea Alsted (Crownsville, Md.).
Jayonna Montigny followed her own insertion pass on a penalty corner with 11:08 to go in the fourth quarter to score her seventh goal this season, giving the Lyons the 4-0 lead. The Montigny sisters both rank in the top 10 in the NEWMAC in both goals and points.
Junior Rachel Katzenberg (Reisterstown, Md.) had three saves in a shared shutout with first-year Ainsley Gruener (Topsfield, Mass.), who played the final 4:11 in goal.
The Lyons return home to play Regis College on Thursday at 6pm.
