Cross Country Finishes 10th at the Codfish Bowl

Boston, Mass. - The Mount Holyoke cross country team competed at the Codfish Bowl on Saturday and finished 10th with a combined score of 255. The Lyons top finisher was junior Corrin Moss (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus Alternative HS) in 38th with a time of 20:54, her fastest time at Franklin Park.

Finishing after Moss was first year Simone Jacob (San Francisco, Calif./San Francisco University HS), who crossed the line in 21:51, good for 61st place. Finishing 66th and 67th was sophomore Emma Raney (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) and Michelle Serrano Los Angeles, Calif./West Adams Preparatory) with 22:00 and 22:02 times respectively. Serrano recorded her fastest time at Franklin park as well.

Next to cross the line for the Lyons was junior Emsie Cronin (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard), who finished in 78th with a time of 22:17, while Kayla Dillon (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) finished 103rd with a 23:10 time. Finishing close behind was sophomore Brigit Wolf (New Providence, N.J./Union County Magnet HS) in 105th, crossing the line in 23:13.

Finishing 119th was first year Olivia Wrobleski (Fall River, Mass./Bishop Stang) who finished with a time of 23:34. Senior Julia Criscione (Bernardsville, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy), who competed for her first race this season was the next Lyon to cross the line with a 24:54 time, good for 137th. Also competing in her first race of the season was sophomore Maya Sterett (Alexandria, Va./Washington-Lee), finishing 147th with a time of 25:29.

The Lyons will be back in action on October 7th at the james Earley Invitational in Westfield, Mass. at 12:00pm.
