Guided by 28th-year head coach Tina Lee, the Mount Holyoke track & field team took part in eight different meets during the 2012-13 indoor season. Leading the way for the Lyons was first year sprinter Camille Coklow, who was an All-New England selection and an NCAA participant.

Mount Holyoke sent a number of student-athletes to the New England Division III Championships, led by Coklow's second-place effort of 7.31 in the 55-meter dash. Fellow rookie Elizabeth DeLeon took 15th-place in the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:23.99, while the 4x200 meter relay (1:50.12) and the 4x800 meter relay (10:05.09) were 14th and 13th, respectively to help the Lyons finish 20th overall at the meet.

Despite bad weather toward the end of the season, the Lyons returned to the ECAC Championships, sending Coklow and two relay teams to compete. In the 60-meter dash, Coklow continued to shine, finishing third overall with a time of 7.73. She also set a school record in the event during the preliminaries, posting a mark of 7.71.

The 4x200 relay team ran to 25th overall (1:49.47), while the 4x800 relay team placed 28th in a school record time of 10:00.46 to give the Lyons an overall place of 31st in a field of 50 squads.

Coklow continued to represent Mount Holyoke the following week as she made her first-ever appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships. In the preliminaries, she ran a time of 7.89 and despite her solid run, did not qualify for the event finals. Coklow was the first Lyons' competitor to represent MHC at Nationals since 2004.

As the seasons changed, the track & field team quickly transitioned to outdoor competition and looked forward to a challenging slate that featured eight meets over the 2013 season. The Lyons were once again led by Coklow, who qualified for her second-straight NCAA Championship.

Mount Holyoke opened the season hosting the MHC Spring Fling. A number of solid efforts were put forth at the non-scoring meet, including a win by sophomore captain Dana Fry in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19:29.97.

After solid outings at the multi-divisional American International and UMass-Amherst Invitationals, the Lyons headed to Maine to take part in the Aloha Relays. Coklow stole the show with victories in both the 100 and 200-meter dash events, while also helping the 4x400 meter relay team to fourth.

Off the heels of their fifth-place finish at the Aloha Relays, Mount Holyoke headed to nearby Springfield College for the 2013 NEWMAC Championships. Coklow sprinted to second overall in the 100-meter dash, garnering All-Conference Second Team after posting a school record time of 12.20. As a team, the Lyons moved up a spot from a season ago, finishing eighth overall in a field of very strong competitors.

Coklow continued her excellence at the New England Division III Championships, winning the 100-meter dash to earn All-New England honors. She went on to represent MHC at the ECAC Championships, hitting a school record during the 100-meter dash preliminaries of 12.03. Coklow shattered her own mark the following day, placing second overall in her event with a new program mark of 11.93.

The time Coklow produced at ECAC's sealed her entry into the NCAA Outdoor Championships and she will competed for Mount Holyoke in the 100-meter dash. Coklow advanced to the event finals, but suffered a devastating groin injury, which forced her to withdraw. Overall, Coklow concluded her first season at Mount Holyoke as the only rookie in program history to compete at both the Indoor and Outdoor National Championships.
