The Mount Holyoke squash team, led by second-year head coach Erin Robson, went 10-12 during the 2013-14 campaign. Leading the way were strong efforts from senior captain Randima Ranaweera and sophomore Sherouk Khefagy, who posted 21-7 and 15-2 records, respectively.

MHC opened the season with a dominant 8-1 win over Tufts. The Lyons further bolstered their record at the Wesleyan Round Robin – going 4-0 with victories over William Smith, Wellesley, Smith and the host Cardinals.

After a rough patch, the Lyons posted a 9-0 win over Haverford in the Pioneer Valley Invitational and recorded a 7-2 win over Bates in neutral site action at Yale the following weekend. The beginning of February brought the Seven Sisters Championship and despite a number of strong efforts, MHC finished second overall to Wellesley. Ranaweera and Khefagy were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

Mount Holyoke followed up that weekend with strong individual efforts from Ranaweera and junior Samantha Rosado as both represented the Lyons at the 2014 Division III Invitational. Ranaweera battled her way through the competition, advancing to the championship game. She finished as the runner-up.

The Lyons headed into the CSA National Championships on a high note, following a 7-2 victory over Connecticut College a week earlier. MHC fell to Franklin & Marshall in the opener, but avenged their Seven Sisters loss to Wellesley with a 7-2 victory against the Blue at the CSA's.

Mount Holyoke saw its team season come to an end in the consolation finals of the Walker Cup (C Draw), dropping a 6-3 decision to Wesleyan.

Ranaweera and Khefagy headed to the CSA Individual Nationals, both excelling in the competition. Ranaweera fell in the semifinals of the Second Round Consolations, while Khefagy bowed out in the opener of the Second Round Consolations.

Leading the way for MHC in 2013-14 was Khefagy, who not only boasted a 15-2 record, but also went 14-0 for the Lyons during the regular season and team competition at Nationals. Ranaweera, one of the best players to ever represent Mount Holyoke, was 21-7, while first year Sanjna Merchant had an 11-11 record.

Mount Holyoke closed out the year ranked 22nd in the CSA rankings. Individually, Ranaweera was ranked 63rd in the nation, while Khefagy was 86th. Academically, senior captain Shaheen Madraswala and junior Xianger Fei both garnered CSA Scholar Athlete honors.
