    The Mount Holyoke squash team, led by second-year head coach Erin Robson, went 10-12 during the 2013-14 campaign. Leading the way were strong efforts from senior captain Randima Ranaweera and sophomore Sherouk Khefagy, who posted 21-7 and 15-2 records, respectively.

    Senior captain Randima Ranaweera concluded her outstanding career on Sunday, falling in the semifinals of the Second Round Consolations in the Holleran Draw at the 2014 CSA Individual Nationals. She finished her weekend with a record of 3-2, while sophomore Sherouk Khefagy was 1-2 overall.

    Action at the CSA National Championships concluded on Sunday for the Mount Holyoke College as the Lyons fell by a 6-3 margin to Wesleyan University in the consolation final of the Walker Cup (C draw). With the win, the #21 Cardinals improve to 11-12, while the #23 Lyons slip to 10-12.
  • #23 Squash Defeats #22 Wellesley; Advances to CSA Consolation Final

    The Mount Holyoke College squash team pulled out a 7-2 victory over Wellesley College in the consolation semifinals of the Walker Cup at the CSA National Championships. With the win, the Lyons improved to 10-11, while the Blue slipped to 13-7 overall. MHC moves on to the consolation finals where it will face Wesleyan University. That match takes place on Sunday at 10:30am.
  • #23 Squash Falls to Franklin & Marshall in CSA National Opener

    The Mount Holyoke College squash team opened play at the CSA National Championships on Friday, hosted at Princeton University. Despite several strong victories, the Lyons fell to Franklin and Marshall by a score of 6-3 in the opening round of the Walker Cup (C Draw). #23 MHC is now 9-11 overall and advances to the consolation round. The #18 Diplomats improved to 8-11 and move into the semifinals.

    Despite wins from the top two positions, the Mount Holyoke College squash team could not overcome a strong effort from the lower ladder by the Jeffs, falling 7-2 at Amherst College on Wednesday evening. With the win, the #17 Jeffs move to 8-10 on the season, while the #23 Lyons slip to 9-10 overall.

    Powered by strong wins from each end of the ladder, the Mount Holyoke College squash team posted an 8-1 victory over Connecticut College on Senior Night at the MHC Squash Courts. With the victory, the #23 Lyons move to 9-9 on the season, while the #27 Camels dip to 6-15 overall.

Held a Bowdoin College, the tournament saw both Lyons players advance to championship matches, including senior captain Randima Ranaweera, who was runner-up in the A draw.

    It was another successful day of action for Mount Holyoke College at the Division III Nationals. Both Lyons competitor swept through the action on Saturday at Bowdoin College, one advancing to the A draw semifinals, while the other moves into the B draw consolation finals.

    The Lyons saw two student-athletes take to the courts on Friday afternoon, both representing Mount Holyoke College at the Division III Squash Nationals, hosted by Bowdoin College. MHC picked up a win and a loss to open play, led by senior captain Randima Ranaweera.
  • Squash Match at Amherst Rescheduled for February 12th

    Due to weather conditions across Western Massachusetts, the squash match between Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College, scheduled to be played on Wednesday evening in Amherst has been postponed. The two teams will now play in Amherst on February 12th at 6pm.
  • Squash Finishes Runner-Up at Seven Sisters Championship

    The Mount Holyoke College squash team saw its long-reign as Seven Sisters Champions come to an end on Saturday at Smith College. The Lyons defeated the host Pioneers by a 9-0 margin, but fell 6-3 to Wellesley College in the deciding game. It marks the first runner-up finish since 2006 for MHC, which is now 8-9 on the season.

MHC later fell to Wesleyan, 8-1 in the final match of the day. The Lyons move to 6-6 on the season.

    Action at the opening day of the Pioneer Valley Invitational is in the books and the Mount Holyoke College squash team shouldered a pair of tough losses in the opener. The #21 Lyons fell 8-1 to #16 Hamilton and 9-0 to #12 George Washington. MHC is now 5-5 on the season. The Continentals moved to 5-3 following the first match, while the Colonials improve to 2-4.
  • #21 Squash Shoulders Tough Loss to #17 Middlebury

    The Middlebury College squash team dominated from the top-to-bottom of the ladder on Saturday, posting a 9-0 victory over Mount Holyoke College at the MHC Squash Courts. With the victory, the Panthers have now won four straight and improve to 4-1 overall. The homestanding Lyons saw their four-game win streak halted and are now 5-3 on the season.
  • Ranaweera Named CSA National Women's Player of the Week

    The College Squash Association (CSA) has announced its weekly award winners and Mount Holyoke College student-athlete Randima Ranaweera was named the Harrow Sports Women's Player of the Week. A senior captain, she played a critical role in securing the Lyons 5-4 come-from-behind win against #20 Wesleyan last weekend.

    The Mount Holyoke College squash team concluded action at the 2013 Wesleyan Round Robin on Sunday, finishing the tournament with a 4-0 record to improve to 5-2 on the season. The #21 Lyons opened day two's action with a 9-0 victory over area-rival #34 Smith, before edging the host & #20 Cardinals by a 5-4 margin.

The 21st-ranked Lyons defeated #25 William Smith by a 9-0 margin to open and later downed #22 Wellesley by a 6-3 score. With the victories, MHC improves to 3-2 on the season.

    Despite a victory in the third position from sophomore Sherouk Khefagy, the Mount Holyoke College squash team could not battle back, falling 8-1 at Brown University on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Bears, who are ranked ninth in the latest CSA National Poll, move to 1-0. The Lyons, who are 21st in the nation, slip to 1-2 on the young season.

  • Squash Victorious in Season Opener; Beat Tufts, 8-1

    Led by solid victories from both ends of the ladder, the Mount Holyoke College squash team opened its 2013-14 season with an 8-1 victory over Tufts University. The Lyons came up victorious in nearly every position, including the top four slots. The Jumbos are now 0-1 and recorded a win in the fifth spot.
