THE MATCHUP: Tuesday marks the sixth all-time meeting between the Wildcats of Bay Path College and Mount Holyoke. Bay Path currently hold the series advantage with a mark of 3-2. The Lyons won last year's meeting by a 9-0 decision in Longmeadow. Junior captain Hannah Yee paced the effort a season ago, scoring four goals in the contest.
THE MOUNT HOLYOKE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (3-3, 0-1 NEWMAC) is coming off a tough 3-0 loss at Babson in the NEWMAC opener. First year Zoe Marshall made 11 saves in the Lyons net. Through six games, sophomore forward Ashleigh Hartsock leads the squad with six points on two goals and two assists. Junior forward Kara Singleton (1g, 3a) is second with five points, while three others round out the top three with four points apiece. In goal, Marshall (2-3) has a 2.00 goals against average and a .767 save percentage.
THE BAY PATH WILDCATS: Bay Path (3-3, 1-0 NECC) comes into Tuesday's match-up after a 2-0 conference victory at Newbury on Saturday. Senior forward Keelin Dougherty registered her team-leading sixth goal of the season to give the Wildcats a two-goal cushion in the 83rd minute. Junior forward Megan Tancredi scored the other goal of the game for Bay Path, which saw first year Alma Rizvani make seven saves in the victory.
NEXT UP: The Lyons are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Emerson for a 3pm NEWMAC game. Bay Path hosts Pine Manor on Thursday at 4pm.
