Squash Concludes Season at CSA Individual Nationals

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Senior captain Randima Ranaweera concluded her outstanding career on Sunday, falling in the semifinals of the Second Round Consolations in the Holleran Draw at the 2014 CSA Individual Nationals.

Ranaweera faced a tough draw on Sunday in the consolation semifinals, squaring off against Columbia's Colette Sultana. Despite a strong effort, she fell by a 3-0 (7-11, 6-11, 6-11) margin to conclude her season and career.

For the weekend, Ranaweera was 3-2 against competition, advancing twice due to injury or withdrawl by the other opponent. Also competing at this year's individual nationals was sophomore Sherouk Khefagy, who also went 1-2 on the weekend.

The squash team closes out this year's season with a 10-12 overall record. The Lyons advanced to the consolation finals of the Walker Cup at the CSA National Championships.
