Four Mount Holyoke swimmers earn CSC Academic All-District honors

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team saw the maximum four team members receive NCAA Division III Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators, as announced on Tuesday, with seniors Seran Goudsouzian, Alexa Veliz, and Eliza Williams joining junior Kamlyn Yosick on the prestigious squad.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Student-athletes need to compete in four competitions or finish top eight at a conference meet.

Goudsouzian, a team captain, is a computer science major from Hellertown, Pa.; Veliz is a biochemistry and German double-major from Tequisquiapan, Mexico; Williams is an architectural studies major from Andover, Mass.; and Yosick is a biochemistry major from Portland, Ore.
