Conti Leads the Field After Day 1 at Middlebury Invite; Lyons 5th Overall

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – After the first day of action at the 2015 Middlebury Invitational, junior June Conti leads the field of 79 golfers. Overall, the Lyons are fifth among the 12 participating teams with a total score of 346. Williams currently leads the field with a score of 326, which is 10 strokes ahead of second-place Amherst.

Conti shot a 75 in the opening round, which was three strokes better than second place Elizabeth Gudas from Williams College. Junior Allison Shilling is currently eighth, shooting an opening round score of 83 for a four-way tie.

Junior Amanda Lee sits 41st after day one with a score of 93, while classmate Vladislava Paskova is in a tie for 45th with a score of 95. Rounding out the action was senior Katie Poulin, who was 66th with a score of 109.

The Lyons return to action on Sunday in the final day of the Middlebury Invitational.
