Coklow Posts Outstanding Finish at BU's David Hemery Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior captain Camille Coklow had an outstanding effort at the 2016 David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University on Friday. In a very competitive field that featured runners from across all divisions and around the world, Coklow notched her top time of the season and one of the best in Division III this year.

Coklow, who hails from Chicago, Ill., competed in the 60-meter dash on Friday afternoon. In a field of 104 runners over 11 different sections, she posted a time of 7.70 to finish 11th overall. That time was the best among all Division III runners in the field, as well as the third best time run in Division III this season (according to tfrrs.org).

The former Latin School of Chicago standout, whose all-time best in the 60-m event is a 7.64, has won the 60-m dash in all three meets she has competed this season, including both invitationals at Smith, as well as last week's Wesleyan Invitational.

Coklow has put herself in outstanding position to qualify for the Indoor National Championships for the third time in her career. Last season, she finished sixth in the 60-meter dash at Nationals with a time of 7.72, to earn NCAA All-American honors. She also represented the Lyons at the 2013 Indoor National Championships.

Mount Holyoke is back on the track tomorrow (2/13) when it competes at the MIT Invitational in Cambridge.
